My baby was waking every 2 hours, and I used reflexology to help her to sleep for longer.

If you’re reading this after another sleepless night, I feel you. I’ve been there too. My baby used to wake every two hours, sometimes more, wanting to breastfeed. I was so exhausted I’d cry. People would say “It’s just a phase”, or it’s because I was breastfeeding (yes I really was told that by more than 1 person!) but that doesn’t help when you’re completely shattered.

That’s when I turned to reflexology.

I’m a reflexologist (you can read more about me here), so I already knew how powerful it can be. But I hadn’t realised just how much it would help my baby’s sleep until I started doing it regularly. I used simple, gentle reflexology points on her feet as part of our bedtime routine (and actually did it during the daytime sometimes instead) and things started to change. She settled more easily, and she stayed asleep for longer stretches. To begin with she only woke once or twice over the night, but that felt AMAZING and I had so much more energy as a result. (From about 1yrs old she slept through).

Even now, as a toddler, whenever I use reflexology on her, she sleeps better. It’s like giving her body permission to fully relax.

Why reflexology helps babies sleep

Babies’ nervous systems are still developing, which is why it can be so hard for them to “switch off.” Reflexology works by calming the nervous system, easing tension, and signalling to the body that it’s safe to rest. When you gently massage certain points on your baby’s feet, it can help:

This isn’t just something I’ve seen with my own daughter. I run a successful 1:1 reflexology clinic, where I work with babies, children, pregnant women, and adults. I’ve used the same techniques with families who come to me desperate for better sleep – and they notice the difference too.

What’s possible

Imagine your evenings feeling calmer. Imagine your baby drifting off without hours of rocking and feeding. Imagine getting a few extra hours of rest yourself (what a gift that is when you’re a new parent!). Reflexology isn’t magic, but it is gentle, safe, and it can be a game-changer.

Want to try it yourself?

That’s exactly why I created my Baby Sleep Reflexology Video Guide. It’s designed for parents who are desperate for more sleep but don’t have time for long, complicated routines. In just a few minutes a day, you can start helping your baby feel calmer and more settled.

And if you’re local to Colchester, you’re always welcome in my 1:1 clinic, where I help not just babies but also mums, pregnant women, and even sleep-deprived dads. Because when the whole family rests better, everything feels easier.

If you’re not local but would prefer some 1:1 support, I also have online zoom sessions where I can guide you to use reflexology on your little one. You can book that in here.
